Sheep are meek creatures, raised for nothing more than slaughter. Babies born in the Year of the Sheep, therefore, will grow up to be followers rather than leaders, according to some superstitions. The children are destined for heartbreak and failed marriages, and they will be unlucky in business, many Chinese believe. One popular folk saying holds that only one out of 10 people born in the Year of the Sheep finds happiness.
I am obviously NOT Chinese, however I do wish to understand all things that make me, me. Within all cultures of life, however in-lightning some can be devastating….I was born in the year of the Sheep/Ram and although somethings in the above have proven themselves true in my life, my life is far from over!
I found that all this is the perfect way to introduce my new life effort, I have recently decided to “start living”. I have stated to family members that I don’t feel as if I am living. What is living you may ask…
living: noun; a state of active change and growth, experiences and development. by the one(s) carrying a #curious mind and an open heart. experimenting and letting the universe create memories in your life. living is stepping from yourself and comfort-ability, leaving your routine behind.
My not so Webster definition of what living is…& by the prior I am simply existing.
I was asked by a customer “ARE YOU EATING TO LIVE, or Living to eat.” Without full understanding of her question I was more prone to give her a true answer unknowingly… my response was “I eat to live, I like being healthy”. She went on to tell me I was too young to be so worried. I didn’t understand until later, hitting me like a shelf of books. Life is my “food”, yet I am not enjoying it because I am simply eating to sustain life, therefore never being full. Merely tasting life…
To begin my life I am going to celebrate my first birthday (as on earth, we do when babies are born) by eating at a brand new restaurant with traditional customs, cuisine and ambiance… I will also expand myself, my mind, vocabulary and imagination by reading….. The first reading selection is “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. Which I am pretty shaky on being that it deals with alchemy (occult situations) and as you may or may not know, I love and know Jesus as my father and don’t want to offend him or entertain those ideas.
(Anywho) I am extremely excited about living… cheers to the new year……cheers to the fears (there out of here).
xx
